Lebanon's Hezbollah party announced that three of its members were killed in an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon on Monday, as the conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants extended to the Israel-Lebanon border.

Hezbollah and Israel engaged in a fierce month-long war in 2006 and have sporadically exchanged fire across the border since then, avoiding a major conflict. However, Hezbollah and Israel exchanged artillery and rocket fire on Sunday.
