CNN: Evidence that the Trump team manipulated results of the 2020 election
Today, Sunday, the American “CNN” network reported, quoting sources, that prosecutors in the state of Georgia possess documents showing that former President Donald Trump’s team tampered with the results of the 2020 US presidential elections.
The network said the documents include emails and text messages directly linking members of Trump's team to the breach of the voting system in early January 2021.
She added that investigators have evidence that the breach was not a voluntary effort by supporters of the Republican candidate at the time, but rather was carried out in coordination with those close to him.
CNN also said, quoting the same sources, that the electoral system breach occurred in Coffee County, in which Trump won about 70% of the vote.
The sources indicated that a former official testified that plans to hack voting systems in the state of Georgia were discussed in the White House in the presence of Trump, and that the latter's lawyers appointed a company to examine voting systems that managed to access and penetrate these systems.
Earlier this August, a federal court in Washington issued an indictment against former President Donald Trump in the case of the storming of Congress on January 6, 2021, and the indictment includes the charge of conspiracy to change the results of the presidential elections that took place in November 2020.
The indictment stated that the Republican candidate tried to change the process of counting the vote results of more than 150 million Americans, but Trump denied the charges against him at the time and accused President Joe Biden's administration of persecuting him politically to keep him out of the 2024 presidential election race.
Trump still considers that the previous presidential elections were rigged and that the Democrats stole the victory from him.
