Hungarian Grand Prix: Hamilton starts from pole position for the first time since 2021

 British Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, starts from first place for the first time since the end of the year 2021, after he snatched the lead in the Hungarian Grand Prix qualifiers, the eleventh stage of the Formula World Championship, Saturday at the Hangarroring circuit.

This will be the first time in 33 races, specifically since the Saudi Grand Prix at the Jeddah circuit in December 2021, that a Mercedes driver has started from first place, and for the 104th time in his career.

The world champion in the last two seasons and the leader of the drivers in the current season, Dutchman Max Verstappen, finished second in front of British McLaren driver Lando Norris.

Hamilton snatched the lead from the Red Bull driver in the last exit on the track, achieving 1:16.609 minutes, compared to 1:16.612 d for the Dutchman.
