A lion escaped near Berlin

Excitement in Kleinmachnow on the outskirts of Berlin. Early Thursday morning, the police went there looking for a dangerous predator.

"Most likely" the fleeing animal is a lioness. Many police officers work with veterinarians and hunters to find the animal.

On Thursday morning, the police warned residents of several places in Brandenburg and parts of southern Berlin to leave their homes. The reason is a big cat who is said to be roaming there.

A spokesperson for the Brandenburg Police Case Service confirmed the incident online early in the morning. She is probably a lioness. But you can only say that for sure after you find the animal. A witness filmed the big cat on the street.

Places in Brandenburg include Kleinmachnau, Thielto, and Stahnsdorf - At Warnap-Nenna, the warning circle in the morning has been expanded to an area extending into the southern Berlin districts of Zehlendorf, Stieglitz, and Neukölln.

At the request of t-online, the Association of Zoo Veterinarians (VZT) has commented on the possibility of seeing a lioness on the outskirts of Berlin. Accordingly, the animal's profile—particularly the rounded back and shape of the head—in the video that appeared on Twitter shows a bit of a lioness.

It appears that the majority of citizens in Kleinmachinau follow the safety instructions issued by the Public Order Office and the Police. There are remarkably few people on the road, as noted by MTV's online reporter. Operations in the market have been shut down, according to Kleinmachineau Mayor Michael Grueber.

As reported by RBB, the police assume the lioness is sleeping in a small forest. According to the Situation Service, investigators have not yet received any other information about the animal's whereabouts.

The forces had been alerted by witnesses who saw the alleged lioness. Police believe the witnesses are credible, a T-Online spokesperson said. Animal welfare experts with tranquilizers were also requested. This is likely to calm the animal in case of doubt. Residents were warned about the animal via the Nina warning app and radio announcements.
