4 killed and 10 injured in a water pipe explosion in Moscow.

Four people were killed and 10 injured after a pipe carrying hot water exploded in a shopping center west of the Russian capital, Moscow, officials said.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said some of the injured were suffering from burns, adding that emergency services were working at the scene. Russian news agencies quoted investigators as saying there was no ammonia leak at the site, as had been suspected for some time.

A video clip showed the mall submerged in water and steam gushing from the entrance.

"We provide medical assistance to all the victims," Sobyanin said. The mall, known as Vremina Guda (The Seasons), opened in 2007 and has more than 150 stores.
