Watch... Israeli bombing flattens residential buildings in Gaza

A violent Israeli bombardment - today, Wednesday - caused a series of buildings and residential homes to be leveled to the ground in a neighborhood of Gaza City, as part of the "scorched earth" policy adopted by Tel Aviv in its war on the Gaza Strip.

A video clip broadcast by Al Jazeera showed 7-story buildings and residential homes completely razed to the ground in the Yarmouk neighborhood in central Gaza City.

According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, this bombing resulted in 26 martyrs and more than 100 wounded in heavy Israeli raids on the Yarmouk area in Gaza City, a toll that is likely to increase in light of the presence of martyrs and wounded under the rubble.

Since October 7, Israel has resorted to pounding the besieged sector with tons of explosives. Military expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi told Al-Jazeera that they are close to the size of the atomic bomb that the United States dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima during World War II.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli war on Gaza has entered its 19th day and has so far left 6,546 martyrs and 17,500 injured, most of them children and women, according to data from the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, amid confirmation that the toll is likely to increase in light of the presence of hundreds under the rubble.
