Israel declares that 222 of its citizens have been captured and laments the high number of IDF deaths during the "Aqsa flood".

308 Israeli soldiers have died since the start of the conflict in Gaza, according to a statement made by Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari on Monday. The announcement came after the Palestinian resistance's October 7 Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

The spokesman for the occupying army added that it was verified that 222 individuals were apprehended by Hamas during the unexpected incursion following the destruction of the border security barrier.

The spokesperson went on to say that they will keep fighting for the safe repatriation of the detainees detained by Hamas, adding that this is one of the objectives of their attack on Gaza.

Israeli Ministry of Health confirmed that 295 Israelis are still receiving treatment after the Hamas operation, including 46 people in serious condition.

Israel declared that since the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, 1,400 people had died as a result of Palestinian resistance fire, and over 5,000 more had been injured.

As for Hamas, it had earlier declared that it had apprehended 200–250 Israelis, 22 of whom had already died as a result of Israel's continuous bombardment of the Gaza Strip; Hamas blamed Israel for their demise.

Numerous retaliation operations are being carried out by the occupation force in the Gaza Strip, resulting in hundreds of casualties and injuries. In response, the Palestinian resistance fired rockets that struck Tel Aviv as well as the settlements that surrounded the Gaza Strip.
