Germany calls on Muslim communities to denounce Hamas and promises to remove its sympathizers.

German Interior Minister Nancy Weiser announced her support for expelling supporters of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas from Germany, and the leader of the Social Democratic Party supported this position, calling on the country's Muslims to condemn the movement that resists the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

"We will use all legal means to expel Hamas supporters," Weser told the German weekly newspaper Bild am Sonntag in its Sunday issue.

For his part, the head of the Social Democratic Party, a partner in the ruling coalition, Lars Klingbeil, said that if the person celebrating enthusiastically in the German streets does not have German citizenship, "then he must be expelled from Germany."

He added in statements to the Funke Group, "We are currently in the process of reforming the citizenship law: Naturalization is a commitment to our country. Whoever does not share our values, who supports anti-Semitism and terrorism, will be deprived of the German passport."

At the same time, the head of the Social Democratic Party warned against generalizations, and explained that whoever glorifies Hamas’ crimes places himself under penalty of law, “but we must not condemn groups arbitrarily. This is not compatible with the diversity in our country.”

He asked the Muslim associations in Germany to declare a clear position and said: “There must be a democratic consensus in our society that we condemn brutal terrorism by Hamas. I also expect that from all the Muslim associations in Germany.”

Germany had previously banned demonstrations in support of Gaza, which is being subjected to a war of genocide by the Israeli occupation.

It is noteworthy that the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades and other Palestinian resistance factions launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli occupation on October 7, and have so far killed more than 1,300 Israelis and managed to capture large numbers, according to Israeli figures.

For its part, Israel responded by bombing homes, schools, hospitals, and mosques in the Gaza Strip, which led to the death of more than 2,300 Palestinians, most of whom were women and children.

For the ninth day in a row, the Gaza Strip, which has been besieged since 2006, has been subjected to intense Israeli air strikes that destroyed entire neighborhoods.

Israel announced that it was preparing for a large ground operation in Gaza to eliminate Hamas, while the United States sent two aircraft carriers to the region to support Israel and warn other parties against engaging in the conflict.
