"The Secret of Smuggling Former President's Blood Inside a Shoe Ignites Crisis Between Two Countries"

Today, Monday, the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the acting Ambassador of Poland to the Georgian capital, Mariusz Zak, over the attempt of a Polish doctor to leak the examinations of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.

Georgia's Minister of Justice, Rati Brigade, said in a press statement, last Friday: "During the visit, a strange and incomprehensible incident occurred on the part of one of the doctors. A Polish doctor tried to secretly and illegally transfer a blood sample from the analysis of prisoner Mikheil Saakashvili, on behalf of by hiding it in his shoe."

The minister pointed out that, according to the official rules, Polish doctors were allowed to conduct examinations on the patient with all the required analyses, so the actions of the aforementioned doctor raise suspicion.

And it appears in the video how the Polish doctor takes out a sample from the analysis of the former Georgian president, who had hidden it in his shoe.

Saakashvili was arrested in Georgia, on October 1, 2021, and is being investigated in several criminal cases.

Earlier, he was convicted in absentia in the two cases of murdering banker Sandro Gergeveliani and beating MP Valery Gelashvili. In the first case, Saakashvili was sentenced to three years in prison, and in the second to six years.

In addition, Saakashvili faces several charges in the cases of dispersing an opposition rally, on November 7, 2007, assaulting the Imedi TV company, embezzling funds from the state budget, and illegal border crossing, and the courts are still considering them.
