Russia announces dropping several marches before reaching Moscow

After a challenging week of battle since the start of its assault, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that it had stopped a Ukrainian "terrorist attack" on Moscow today, Tuesday. In response, Ukraine reported that it had reclaimed territory in the east and south of the country.

A "terrorist attack" involving 5 marches in Moscow was prevented, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, which also stated that all of them were shot down safely.

In response, Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, charged that Ukraine had sent protests to Moscow this morning.

At least three drones were reportedly captured over Moscow early on Tuesday, according to Russian emergency services, while one was also reportedly found over Kubinka, a hamlet 63 kilometers to the west of Moscow.

According to Reuters, a Russian air facility is close to the town.

On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that his nation's soldiers were making steady progress and praised everyone for their contributions to the war's success.

The Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense, Anna Malyar, said that since the counterattacks against the Russian forces began, the Ukrainian forces had recovered around 159 square kilometers.

In a statement, Maliar confirmed that hit-and-run operations were occurring on the front lines to the east and south, confirming the Russian forces' attempt to advance in the directions of Liman, Avdiivka, and Marinka. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian forces advanced through seven towns towards the regions of Berdyansk and Melitobel, which are controlled by Russian forces south of Zaporizhia.

The Russian army, on the other side, declared that it had prevented a Ukrainian force redeployment attempt in the Kobyansk axis in Kharkiv province.

Sergey Zabinsky, a spokesman for the Russian army's Western Forces Group, claimed that his troops used 8 missile strikes to target Ukrainian force concentrations in the canton.

In a similar development, the military administration in Sumy province, northeastern Ukraine, reported that a Russian drone strike claimed the lives of one person and injured 16 others.

The military administration said that four Russian suicide marches based on the Iranian Shahid model attacked and damaged numerous neighboring structures in addition to an administrative facility and other residential buildings. The military command stated that rescue efforts and debris disposal are ongoing.

In response, the pro-Russian authorities in Donetsk claimed that a civilian had been killed in a Ukrainian missile attack on the town of Yelinovka, which is situated along the route connecting Donetsk with Mariupol.

The Ukrainian bombing also destroyed a passenger bus and residential buildings in the settlement southwest of Donetsk, according to the Donetsk authorities.

Alexander Bogomaz, the governor of the Russian province of Bryansk, claimed that Ukrainian artillery bombardment had been directed at the border province.

Bogomaz noted that various villages and cities in the canton were the targets of the bombardment but that only two residential buildings caught fire as a result of this shelling.

Sergei Shoigu, the defense minister of Russia, claimed in Moscow that since the start of the offensive, none of the objectives of the Ukrainian forces' counterattack had been accomplished on any of the axes.

The Russian minister emphasized that the insurrection, which was organized by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the creator of the "Wagner" corporation, on June 24, was an attempt to destabilize the nation but that it failed due to the army's commitment.

Shoigu emphasized that the brief uprising led by Wagner's fighters had no bearing on the "special military operation" his nation is doing in Ukraine and the conflict Moscow is waging against Kyiv.

One of the founder and president of the Wagner Company's main demands was the removal of Shoigu from his position to put an end to the armed uprising that he had led and during which the company's fighters had taken over the city of Rostov (in southwest Russia), which is one of the largest cities in Russia and is home to the Russian army's administration for the war in Ukraine.

In Crimea, the Russian State Security Service reported that it had foiled a Ukrainian attempt to assassinate Sergei Aksyonov, the Russian governor of the territory. Ukraine has not yet responded to this report.

A person has reportedly been detained as part of the investigations, according to the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), which claimed it foiled a plot by Ukrainian intelligence services to assassinate the ruler of Crimea in a statement carried by the Russian news agency Interfax.

He stated that he had detained a Russian national, born in 1988, on suspicion that he had been recruited by "members of the Ukrainian Intelligence Service (SBU)," highlighting the fact that the guy "continued training in sabotage intelligence in Ukraine, including explosives." He said, "The bomber was caught when he was obtaining the explosive device from hiding, so he did not have time to carry out his criminal objective.

Internationally, sources informed the German news agency that the European Union is considering making concessions, such as allowing a Russian bank to avoid sanctions, to persuade Russia to renew the key grain agreement with Ukraine.

They continued by saying that the plan is to enable the Agricultural Bank of Russia to establish a subsidiary so it may once more use SWIFT for specific payments.

The diplomats claimed that there might not be the required level of agreement among EU member states for the EU to suspend its sanctions against the Agricultural Bank.

After beginning its war with Ukraine in February of last year, Russia delayed the shipment of grain from that country for several months before the two sides agreed to resume the export of Ukrainian grain in mid-2022, mediated by the UN and Turkey.

Midway through May, the arrangement was recently extended for a further two months, but Russia warned not to renew it if its agricultural exports were denied.
