North Korea: What America is doing opens the way for the use of nuclear weapons

North Korean Defense Minister Kang Sun Nam said that the entry of a US strategic nuclear submarine into the South Korean port of Busan could theoretically be attributed to sufficient conditions for Pyongyang's use of nuclear weapons.

According to the DPRK Central News Agency, Sun Nam also vowed to "suppress the DPRK of all attempts by the United States and its allies to use nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula and start a war."

In a statement, the minister criticized the entry of a US "Ohio"-class strategic nuclear submarine into the port of Pusan in South Korea, describing it as "the first deployment of strategic nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula in more than 40 years and an explicit and direct nuclear war."

This indicates that the American attempts to launch and implement a nuclear attack on the DPRK have entered the most dangerous stages of activation and organization, and the possibilities of a military clash on the Korean Peninsula have become a dangerous reality that transcends all perceptions and assumptions.

He noted that "no one can deny the grave and critical security situation in which the DPRK finds itself, which has changed radically due to the military excesses of the United States and its henchmen."

North Korea knows exactly the purpose of the deployment of large US strategic weapons on the Korean Peninsula and the mission that Pyongyang's nuclear weapons must fulfill.

And he added, "I remind the US military that the significant increase in the deployment of strategic reserves (on the Korean Peninsula), including the strategic nuclear submarine, can justify the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons specified in the DPRK Nuclear Forces Policy Act."

DPRK's nuclear doctrine allows for the necessary measures to be taken in the event of an "approach" of a nuclear attack against the country.

According to Kang Sun Nam, "DPRK armed forces will continuously suppress and repel the reckless attempts of the United States and its proxies to use nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula, to safeguard the DPRK's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and fundamental interests, and prevent a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia."
