In the Cayman Islands, Gigi Hadid was apprehended for marijuana possession.

 According to reports, Cayman Islands authorities detained and punished American model Gigi Hadid for possessing marijuana earlier this month.

After their luggage was inspected as they boarded a private plane on July 10 for a vacation, the 28-year-old and a buddy were held.

Despite their admission of guilt and payment of a fine, there was no formal conviction.

The marijuana was legitimately obtained in New York "with a medical license," according to a representative of Hadid.

As of 2017, Grand Cayman has also made it lawful for medical purposes. She had a good time the remainder of the time she was on the island, and her record was still clean, they claimed in a statement provided to the PA news agency.

For "the importation of marijuana and the importation of utensils used for the consumption of marijuana," Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control detained Hadid and her friend Leah McCarthy.

The agency added that it appeared to be for personal use and that it was a little quantity. According to the Cayman Marl Road, a local newspaper, they were taken to a correctional center and then released on bond.

The pair showed up in the Cayman Islands summary court two days later, where they were found guilty and fined $1,000 ($1,200; £920).

Despite this, the model appeared to be enjoying herself.

On Tuesday, she shared photos from her beach trip and wished her Instagram followers an "all's well that ends well" day.

Gigi Hadid is one of the most well-known and well-paid models in the world. She has collaborated with numerous high-end luxury brands, including Versace, Chanel, Fendi, and Marc Jacobs. Additionally, she has appeared on the Vogue cover more than 30 times.
